Trustee Treasurer Role for ACTS FAST

vikkitaylor6

ACTS FAST is a Dorset based charity which provides national support to non-abusive parents, carers and partners of families affected by Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA).  We also provide support to non-abusive partners where an individual has accessed Indecent Images of Children (IIOC).

Established in 2014, we provide trauma-informed crisis support, counselling and recovery programmes to our clients who are often hidden and unseen by mainstream support services.  We work with clients struggling to cope with the aftermath of disclosures of CSA or IIOC nature whilst managing families, work, finances, day-to-day life; we are also guided by our clients’ Expert Voices to inform and improve our support services.

We are currently undergoing a period of planned growth and as such are seeking to appoint a Trustee Treasurer with proven financial accounting experience to help us navigate our journey.  This will include but not be limited to scrutinising our current financial reporting arrangements, providing expert guidance and support around the management of unrestricted income and providing board level strategic financial direction to ensure our future, and enable us to support as many clients as possible.

Our Trustee board is dynamic, and solution focussed; there is a minimum requirement to meet four times a year (this can be achieved remotely) however our Board works actively with the Senior Leadership Team by utilising our own specialist skills and knowledge and therefore we are seeking a Treasurer with the same proactive and hands-on approach who is happy to get stuck in!

Trustee training is mandatory and is provided and funded by ACTS FAST. All trustees undergo an Enhanced DBS-checked before acceptance on the board.

To arrange an informal chat about the role or to receive an application for please e-mail Rose Hunter, Trustee Administrator at:  enquiries@actsfast.org.uk
